The Colonial Experience
The music and variety of pictures conveyed a high amount of effort and organization. The images correlated perfectly with the content and even provided a little humour. Additionally, they added to my understanding of the content. Everything was abundantly clear. Furthermore, the music added a Colonial setting and essentially immersing the audience in the “Colonial experience”. Even with the added effects and music, the video did not lack content. I enjoyed this video and it kept my attention throughout.
Towards an Uncertain Future
It felt clear and complete. It wasn’t the best one but definitely one of them. I enjoyed the presentation and the speech felt well rehearsed. Similarly to the last one, all the images were very appropriate and helped my understanding. Especially with my primitive knowledge of the names, the images always helped me in keeping people apart. The video also felt well organized as it was divided in parts. Well made video.

Speaking Truth to Power-Caudillos Versus the Nation State
I decided to lump these together as they were flawed for the same reasons. Although they had some great content, as most videos did, the videos didn’t feel complete. The videos felt like a rough draft. The method of filming oneself and then reading off a paper just doesn’t transmit the information well. The audience tends to lose focus and they also don’t have any images to visualize things. The videos could have had much more effort put into them.
The Meeting of Two Worlds
I continue to feel that filming oneself reading ends up being ineffective. Although many who used this strategy had a lot of content, they often seem unprepared. In this video especially, both readers seemed like they hadn’t practice their scripts enough. Additionally, the first reader was unclear and even the second reader was difficult to understand at times. I appreciated the usage of a few images to better our understanding. However, I don’t see why that couldn’t have comprised more of the video.
